Club Med Diving Activities

Dive with an instructor and state-of-the-art equipment and explore the world’s incredible underwater paradises. Your children can also get a taste of this underwater adventure in total safety, with our First Dive packages.

Practical Information
All you need to know to prepare for your future excursions: medical certificate and self-assessment questionnaire, equipment rental and official diplomas.
Packages include scuba tanks, BCs, fins, masks, regulators and diving belts. Lockers are also provided. And your safety is always considered, as most of our scuba resorts have a nurse and a scuba physician on premises.

Note: Go diving only if you are in good health.

Documents to supply before you get going:

  • Medical self-assessment questionnaire (adopted by Club Med, in accordance with PADI procedures). Can be found here, and downloaded. Fill it in with your GP. Any positive answer to a question on the form will call your fitness into question. As a last resort, the opinion of a doctor on site will be final.
  • A medical certificate attesting to the absence of contraindications to scuba-diving drawn up within the last year by a doctor competent in underwater diving (sports doctor, hyperbaric doctor or a doctor authorized by a scuba-diving federation). Required for taking any 1-star or equivalent CMAS (World Confederation of Underwater Activities) advanced diplomas.
  • Identical documents and conditions for “Outside of Club Med” diving offered by outside providers.

Medical examination at your expense. Don’t forget your certificates and record of dives.

The following are required for minors:

  • Written authorization from parents and a medical certificate with ENT examination drawn up in advance by a hyperbaric doctor. This certificate cannot be issued at the resort.

Apart from in instructed or supervised diving activities (snorkeling and scuba diving), masks, flippers and snorkels are neither lent nor hired out. It is possible to hire thermal diving suits* and dive computers* at all diving centers.

Included in the Packages: cylinder and STAB (inflatable safety system), snorkels, masks, regulators and weight belts.

For scuba diving, Club Med safety standards require the activity to stop 12 hours before your return flight in PADI-certified schools.

Activities offered by off-site providers in certain scuba resorts are at an additional charge.
Certain activities can be booked at the time of purchasing the Package and/or on site at the scuba resorts (particularly, at these Resorts’ Discovery Spaces). However, availability and sales conditions are those applied by the outside providers in question (particularly where prices and cancellation of these activities are concerned).

Transport to “Outside of Club Med” activities is arranged by outside providers.

Children under 8 years (12 years for water-sports) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at anytime during the activity.
